VW Group Night Paris 2010
The Volkswagen automobile family (Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Seat, Škoda and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles) presents its ground breaking fleet of novelties at its annual Group Night. In 2010, the Group Night was held in the framework of the "Mondial de L'Automobile" fair in Paris. The array of world premieres ranged from new editions of automotive bestsellers up to luxury class models.
10 LED modules moved on a 60 meter long track
Stage Kinetik supplied the required kinetic subtleties to put a perfect spotlight on the novelties. At the beginning, the 1,500 spectators were enchanted by a large format video of a view of the panorama of Paris on a 60 meter long LED wall. It comprised 10 individual LED modules which could be moved on a track of 60 meters from left to right as well as up and down.
Lifting constructions for vehicles and a movable track cover, divisible into 3 parts
2 vehicles were equipped with special lifting constructions which enabled the vehicles to be lifted out of the under stage. A track cover was used with a length of about 75 meters could be moved about 10 meters sideways as an entire unit or divided into 3 parts to open the area for the lifting platforms.
Winch construction used for presentation of the new Audi quattro concept
The kinetic repertoire was topped off by a custom-made winch construction used for the presentation of the new Audi quattro concept. The white four-wheel sports car was released by a winch construction from a "mountain" to center stage, automatically releasing the car and then autonomously driving forward.
Using the unique motion technology by Stage Kinetik, all these kinetic elements were turned into an optical highlight for the spectators.
